In Home Newborn Session

This little nugget did so amazing for the in home newborn session I was invited to do. Nikki contacted me to come take photos of their new baby, Hugo. He was such a rockstar for his newborn session. It is always such an honor to be invited in to someone’s home to capture the real life.

Their little family grew by one, and their dog, Daisy, seems to be quite the protective little mother over the new baby. She was so sweet looking after Hugo and making sure he was okay during our in home newborn session. She is so sweet and motherly and wanted to be sure I was not hurting Hugo. Her precious little kisses were so sweet.

The Bailey’s have some pretty awesome retro pieces in their home including the awesome chair we used for photos that traveled cross country to make it there. It’s so special when things like the hand made quilt and heirloom pieces make their way into family portraits.

Nikki had some super adorable knitted bib pants we used for Hugo and he rolled with it as we moved him all around and tried different things. He is the calmest little dude. I think it always helps keeping babies calm when you keep them in their own environment and do an in home newborn session as opposed to taking them to an unfamiliar place.
