I rarely leave my baby. For work related things mainly, a meeting, wedding, session and on a rare occasion I will leave her with my mother while I go get groceries or something. I get a lot of complaints that she never gets to babysit. Ha! No one does really. We are pretty stingy.:) She’s almost a year old and while I LOVE to have her all to myself it’s good for her to be around other people and other kids. Today she stayed with my cousin for awhile. They have 4 kiddos and I know she had a great time, but ugh. I was going crazy by the time I got back to her!!! It was 6 hours. A whole whopping 6 hours and it felt like an eternity. I am sooo in love with this face and with these two in general.
I think it’s safe to say daddy had a wonderful first Father’s Day. We were probably cheesy this year and didn’t realize it until after the fact. For Mother’s Day “Izzy” got me a gift card to my favorite coffee shop with a sweet note “from her”. And for Father’s Day we got daddy a cheesy card and a new trimmer with some attachments. I’m quite sure he teared up as she “helped” him turn the wrench.:)
And yes, we are pretty obsessed with Matilda Jane at our house.:) My husband is even up on all of it. This was our first birthday party for a very close friend. Our babies are 3 weeks apart! Izzy had soo much fun on the slide with dad!
