Mackenzie decided on south haven for her senior pictures and it was an absolutely perfect evening! We decided to explore around downtown before we headed to the beach. We also chose a week night to try to avoid some of the hustle and bustle. Finding some shady spots before sun set can be tricky. We were able to find quite a few fun little areas for her senior pictures though.
The movie theatre downtown south haven has such a cute marquee. The flower wall on the same street is pretty fun as well. We found some great foilage and textures of brick walls and doorways around the downtown area. The buildings in the backgrounds are always so cool in photos. We were able to capture some of that scenery as well.
After downtown, we headed on over to the maritime museum area after downtown because who doesn’t love boats? We got some super stunning pics of Mackenzie on the piers with the big ship and yachts in the background. The fun scenery along the shores was a great addition too. She totally rocked all of it with her outfits!
Last but not least we ended up sunset chasing along lake Michigan as the sun kept peaking out under the clouds. We got a few with the tiny orange sunset in the background but mainly with the beautiful sky. South Haven is such a beautiful spot for senior pictures…any pictures really. The calm waves and cool breeze were a great finish to our already awesome senior pic session.
I should also add that I took MacKenzie’s photos about 10 years ago with her cousins for a mini session! It is so cool when you see kids so grown up and get to be a part of capturing some fun milestones in their lives.
